POLKADOTTY

You all know how much I love leopard print but did you know that polkadot is my second favourite? In fact, I have been known to mix the two (oh yeah) and it actually works, I promise! Like leopard print, polkadot is a timeless print that just keeps on giving. It was a huge SS17 trend but see below for some AW inspired looks. A total investment right? What better excuse do you need for a guilt free shopping spree...
P.S. The above dress I am wearing is from HM but it has sold out online so keep your eyes peeled for it in store.

WHITE ANKLE BOOTS

I own two pairs of white boots. These ones that I'm wearing on a night out in Pikes during my recent trip to Ibiza and a tassled ankle boot with a heel too high for me to ever wear again. I used to be able to run around in them but these days I need a chunky or low heel to keep me steady. Why does that happen to so many women?! Both pairs are ancient and have seen better days but I refuse to throw them away. I think it's because every wardrobe needs a pair of white ankle boots. They are so versatile. They were the boot of Spring 17 and were perfect with dresses, shorts and playsuits during those hot sunny days, ahh the memories, but they also work with pretty much everything else in the winter! Don't believe me? See below...

MY TOP 10 - RESERVED

Yesterday I was lucky enough be invited to the launch of the Reserved Store in London. Between us I had never heard of the Polish brand before (shhh) but Kate Moss was lined up to open it and if it's good enough for Mossy...

And surprise, surprise our Kate knows her stuff! There was so much that I wanted and Reserved is now well and truly on my list of go to stores for shoots, me and more imortantly Dolly. P.S. The kids stuff is great and really reasonable.

Here are my top 10:

Trousers - OMG I want these leather trouser so bad it hurts. They feel so good and are such an awesome high waisted cut. I need them in my life, you know for going to playdates and shopping at Waitrose etc. I can't find them online but they are definitely in the London store because I was drooling over them.

Jumper - Can't find this jumper online either but the colour is everything so I wanted to share

Coat - Hello fabulous leather coat (not online sadly)  do you want to come home with me?

Jumper - I'm in love with red at the moment which is a good thing because it's a massive AW17 trend.

Skirt - This gingham skirt is so easy to wear and so reasonable it's got to be a must have. Team with a plain or logo tee, heels and statement tasselled earrings and you are good to go madam!

Kimono - Yes I am fabulous and yes you deserve to wear me

Trouser suit - I saw a couple of ladies this on with a white tee and Adidas Stan Smith style trainers and it looked pretty damn awesome.

Dress - I want this to wear with my black Chloe boots. Just saying.

Dress - And this would look cool with my black converse boots.

Jacket - This bad boy is bringing back 90s memories of my Naf Naf puffa jacket that I used to wear to school. Mine was black but my best friend had a silver one and Dolly had a very similar rose gold one last year. 3 is a trend and all that!

MUM HAIR DON'T CARE

I bumped into a friend recently who said he recognised me from afar because he spotted my hair do. By hair do he meant my mum bun also known as the top knot. It made me realise that I've been rocking this look for way too long but you know if it ain't broke and all that. Plus it's just so easy and since having Dolly easy is good, easy is verrry good. So I thought I would share some of my other easy to do hair styles that I use on repeat a bit like Dolly's dinners.

PREP
Firstly the key is to wash your hair at night. Who has time in the morning? Not me! I wash mine every other night with Philip Kingsley's Flaky/Itchy Scalp Shampoo (I have a sensitive scalp, poor me) and Moisture Balancing Conditioner. And because I just can't be bothered and would much rather watch Corrie on the sofa I let it dry naturally. The next morning I wash my fringe in the sink (no one wants a greasy fringe) and blow dry that plus give the rest a bit of a boost by adding dry shampoo for a bit of texture.

MUM BUN
There are lots of awesome tutorials online with step by step guides on how to create the perfect mum bun but I'm going to tell you how I do mine which is pretty simple. I scrape up my hair as if to put it in a high pony. Instead of pulling the hair completely through the hairband I tie it around my hair when it's only halfway through so you have a sort of bent over ponytail going on. I then stretch it out and pin it into shape using kirby grips and seal the deal with a burst of L'Oreal Elnett Very Volume Extra Strength Hairspray Ta da!

HIGH PONY

I'm pretty sure you've got this.

MILK MAID BRAIDS

Part your hair as if you were making two low pigtails and plait each side. Fasten with small clear bands. Loosen and mess up the plaits. Then using grips pin each side up one at a time tucking the last one's end into the plait that is already in place. Finish with hairspray.

DO THE DOUBLE MUM BUN

Part your hair as if you are making two high pigtails and then create your mum buns as described above.

HALF UP HALF DOWN MUM BUN

Do you really need me to explain this? No, I didn't think so.
